New York, NY - The Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club is endorsing Amanda Septimo for the Bronx Council District 17during the special election to take place on February 23rd. The 17th Council district includes the neighborhoods of Longwood, Hunts Point, Concourse, Concourse Village, Crotona Park, Melrose, Morrisania, Mott Haven, North Brother Island, Parkchester, Port Morris, and Soundview.

The Jim Owles supporst Amanda Septimo due to her credentials as a progressive, independent and passionate advocate for social and economic justice. The Jim Owles Club is confident that Amanda Septimo has the vision, experience, and community support to be a leader for the Bronx in the New York City Council.
