Jim Owles Endorses Melissa Bair for District Leader

The Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club is proud to endorse Melissa Bair for District Leader in Queens Assembly District 30 Part B.

Melissa, a licensed midwife and nurse practitioner, is a current Democratic County Committee Member and have spent the last few years organizing meetings with elected officials, voter registration drives, and community fundraisers as a member of the Sunnyside Woodside Action Group (SWAG). It was organizing informational meetings with SWAG that she learned about the importance of County Committee and District Leader to shape the vision of the Democratic Party, and also what compelled her to be an early volunteer for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. When she became a member of the Queens Democratic County Committee, she met other reform-minded members and they created a coalition called Queens County Committee for All (QCC4All). QCC4All members are committed to working towards a Queens County Democratic Party that is transparent, accountable, accessible, and inclusive to all.
