1. Explain, based on life experiences and accomplishments, why you believe you are best qualified to represent your district.
As someone who grew up in Flushing and now raising my young family here, I have spent my entire adult life giving back and fighting for my constituents. From working families to migrant sex workers, I have stood with some of most vulnerable members of my community.

I’ve been actively involved with the Decrim NY and bail reform rallies and press conferences.

I believe there is no justice without economic justice. For the last few months I have worked hard to offer the nation’s first public payment system that will focus on circulating new money toward paying for care work.

27. What legislation or other policy changes do you support in order to make college and graduate school affordable for poor, working-class, and middle-class Americans and to alleviate the crushing loan debt that many students and alumni are facing?
I have introduced and carry legislation that would allow the state to use eminent domain to buy and write down people’s student, medical, and consumer debts.

Yes, I also believe in Medicare for All which is one of the main reasons I support Bernie Sanders for President.

I believe local and state governments must do more provide sustainable funding for Planned Parenthood to make sure all people have access to contraceptives and abortion services.

As the only Asian American from Queens to stand up for sex workers by pushing for rights over raids, I have been on the frontlines with migrant workers who are targeted everyday by the NYPD. This has been a tough fight, resulting in an active NYPD officer running against me on a law and order platform.
